Saunders tosses gem; Angels blank Mariners

Joe Saunders tossed a four-hit shutout through seven innings, and the LA Angels defeated the Seattle Mariners 3-0 Thursday night at Safeco Field.

The Angels won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the three runs went UNDER the posted over/under (7.5).

Juan Rivera homered to lift the Angels, while Saunders improved to 6-2 with the victory. Brian Fuentes tossed a scoreless ninth to earn his 11th save.

Erik Bedard allowed two runs off two hits over five innings of work in the loss.
