CBB Weekend Betting: UCLA, Arizona on Tap

The college basketball Saturday schedule gets started with a Top 5 matchup this weekend, as the No. 5 UCLA Bruins visit the No. 4 Arizona Wildcats.

The Bruins have won six straight games after defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils 87-75 as a 13-point favorite on Thursday. By failing to cover the spread UCLA dropped to 2-4 against the spread during their streak and they’re a lousy 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games.

Arizona is on a five-game winning streak straight up after taking down the USC Trojans 90-77 as a 9-point favorite on Thursday. At home the Wildcats have won 21 in a row SU, but they’ve been a bad wager ATS at 8-12-1.

The Bruins and Wildcats clashed at UCLA on January 21 and Arizona posted a 96-85 upset win as a 5.5-point underdog at the Bovada sportsbook. That snapped a five-game ATS winning streak for UCLA in the matchup, but in their last 14 games against Arizona the Bruins are still 11-3 ATS.

Also on tap Saturday, the No. 13 Florida Gators take on the No. 11 Kentucky Wildcats.

Florida is on a nine-game winning streak following an 81-66 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks as a 7.5-point favorite on Tuesday. They’re 7-2 ATS during their streak, and on the road they’ve won their last five games at 4-1 ATS.

Kentucky has won five straight after defeating the Missouri Tigers 72-62 as a 16-point favorite on Tuesday. The Wildcats are 2-3 ATS in their last five games and at home sport an 8-1 record SU and 5-4 mark ATS in their last nine games.

Earlier this month Florida crushed Kentucky 88-68 as a 1.5-point home favorite. Before that loss Kentucky had won their last five against the Gators at 4-1 ATS. At home the Wildcats are 8-1 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in their last nine versus Florida.

The only other ranked matchup on the Saturday schedule is the No. 23 Creighton Bluejays at the No. 2 Villanova Wildcats.

Both sides are coming off upset losses earlier this week. Creighton fell to the Providence Friars 68-66 as a 7-point favorite, while Villanova lost to the Butler Bulldogs 74-66 as 10-point chalk. For Villanova that snapped a seven-game winning streak overall and an 18-game streak at home.

Back on December 31 Villanova beat Creighton 80-70 as a 1.5-point favorite. The Wildcats have won their last five versus the Bluejays at 4-1 ATS.
