College Football Week 6 Betting Preview

The No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide go for their 18th straight win this week as big road favorites at the sportsbooks against the No. 16 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.

Last week Alabama made it 17 in a row with a 34-6 win over the Kentucky Wildcats as a 37-point favorite. By failing to cover the spread the Crimson Tide dropped to 10-7 against the spread during their win streak.

Arkansas is 6-1 SU and 4-3 ATS in their last seven after defeating the Alcorn State Braves 52-10 as a 50-point favorite last week. They’re a 14-point home underdog at online sportsbook Bovada versus Alabama and enter this matchup 0-9 SU and 4-5 ATS in their last nine versus the Crimson Tide.

Alabama has won seven straight as a road favorite with a 4-3 ATS mark. In their last nine as a home underdog the Razorbacks are 1-8 SU and 5-4 ATS. Also worth noting in this matchup, the visiting team is 2-5 ATS in the last seven.

Sticking in the SEC the No. 9 Tennessee Volunteers and No. 8 Texas A&M Aggies square off this weekend with one side heading for their first loss of the season.

Tennessee has won 11 in a row SU after edging the Georgia Bulldogs 34-31 as a 3.5-point favorite last week. They’re 6-5 ATS during their streak.

The Aggies have won five straight while going 4-1 ATS. Last week they couldn’t cover the spread in a 24-13 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks as a 19.5-point favorite.

The last time, and only time, the Volunteers and Aggies met up in 2005 Tennessee easily won 38-7 as a 5-point road underdog. This weekend the Aggies are a 7-point favorite at Bovada. At home the Aggies have been a big disappointment for bettors at 4-10 ATS in their last 14. The Aggies are also 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five games against teams with a winning record.

In the ACC this weekend the No. 23 Florida State Seminoles visit the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes.

The Seminoles were a 10.5-point favorite last week against the North Carolina Tar Heels and were upset 37-35. In their last five games Florida State is 3-2 SU and 2-3 ATS.

Miami has won four straight SU and ATS after downing the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 35-21 as a 7.5-point favorite last time out.

The Seminoles have won six straight against Miami while going 3-3 ATS, and they’re a 3-point underdog this weekend. On the road against the Hurricanes the Seminoles have won five in a row with a 4-1 ATS mark.
