College Football Week 9 Betting Preview

The No. 3 ranked Clemson Tigers look to maintain their perfect season with their eighth straight win this weekend when they visit the No. 12 Florida State Seminoles as a road favorite.

Last week Clemson won their seventh straight with a 24-17 win over the N.C. State Wolfpack as a 20-point favorite. By failing to cover they dropped to 4-3 against the spread during their win streak. In their last 24 games the Tigers are 23-1 straight up and 14-10 ATS.

The Seminoles are coming off a 17-6 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as 24-point chalk. They sit at 5-2 SU and 3-4 ATS on the season and are listed as a 5-point home underdog at online sportsbook Bovada this week versus Clemson.

Florida State may be the underdog, but they’re tough at home at 23-1 SU and 12-12 ATS in their last 24 games. Clemson is riding an eight-game road winning streak at 4-4 ATS, and in their last 18 as a road favorite they’re 17-1 SU and 9-9 ATS.

Clemson and Florida State have split their last 10 matchups 5-5 SU, but Clemson is 7-3 ATS.

In the Pac 12 this weekend the No. 4 Washington State Huskies are a 10.5-point road favorite when they take on the No. 17 Utah Utes.

Washington has won 10 straight with a 7-3 ATS record after blasting the Oregon State Beavers 41-17 last week as a 36.5-point favorite. Utah is 9-1 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games. Last time out they beat the UCLA Bruins 52-45 as a 3.5-point underdog

Washington has won their last seven games as a road favorite while going 4-3 ATS. Utah is only 3-6 SU and 5-4 ATS in their last nine as a home underdog. In three matchups between the Huskies and Utes Washington is 2-1 SU and ATS.

The lasted ranked matchup on the weekend pits the No. 7 Nebraska Cornhuskers against the No. 11 Wisconsin Badgers.

Nebraska has won eight in a row at 5-2-1 ATS and last week they rolled over the Purdue Boilermakers 27-14 as a 24.5-point favorite. Wisconsin clipped the Iowa Hawkeyes 17-9 as a 4-point favorite last week to improve to 8-1 ATS in their last nine.

The Cornhuskers are a strong 11-3 ATS in their last 14 road games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven as a road underdog. Wisconsin is only 4-3 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven at home, and as a home favorite they’re 14-2 SU and 7-9 ATS in their last 16.
