Dodgers betting reaching fever pitch

Yasiel Puig has cooled off a bit since his torrid start, but the Los Angeles Dodgers are still hot and have climbed their way to just a half-game back of the Arizona Diamondbacks for the NL West lead.

The Dodgers will look to keep up their winning ways in a three-game series starting Monday on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Los Angeles is 20-5 in its last 25 games, including a three-game winning streak coming out of the all-star break. Toronto is going in the opposite d
irection with losses in six of its last seven games including three straight losses out of the break.

Despite these streaks, Josh Johnson and the Blue Jays are a -120 favorite at 5Dimes against Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Dodgers (+110) Monday night.

Two preseason AL Pennant favorites are now fighting for playoff spots as the New York Yankees visit the Texas Rangers for a four-game series starting on Monday. The Yankees are 12-6 SU in their last 18 games against the Rangers, but in their one meeting this year in the Bronx, Texas took two of three games in the series.

Yu Darvish takes the mound for the Rangers on Monday, and is currently a -175 favorite over Ivan Nova and the Yankees (+165) at 5Dimes.

Later in the week, the AL West-leading Oakland A’s host the Los Angeles Angels in a three-game series starting on Friday. Oakland has held the upper hand in this division rivalry lately with wins in nine of the last 13 meetings between these two teams.
