Early Super Bowl Lines on the Betting Menu
The countdown to Super Bowl XLVIII in New Jersey is officially underway with the Denver Broncos favored by 1 point over the Seattle Seahawks on the 5Dimes early betting line for the big game.
The total for that contest is sitting at 47.5, and the early moneyline has Denver listed as a -120 favorite with the Seahawks listed as even-money underdogs (+100). There is still plenty of time for all of these betting odds to change, however, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30pm ET on Sunday, Feb. 2.
If you are looking for some football between now and then, check out this year’s NFL Pro Bowl, which will be played in Honolulu this upcoming Sunday in a 7:30pm ET start. A major change in format has former NFL players Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders picking the rosters for their team. The opening betting line has this game listed as a pick'em, with the total line still OFF the board.
Just because the football season is down to its last game does not mean there is not plenty of action on the 5Dimes betting board this week. There are 10 games on Monday’s NBA slate, including a special TNT doubleheader that first sends Portland on the road to play Houston followed by Indiana on the road against Golden State. The Rockets have been listed as 2.5-point home favorites and the Pacers are getting a point against the Warriors.
ESPN will host a NBA doubleheader this Wednesday night. The first game features a huge Western Conference showdown between Oklahoma City and San Antonio, who are currently separated by just one game in the standings as of Sunday night’s results. Following that game, Indiana will remain on the road to play Phoenix in a 10:30pm ET tipoff.
The college basketball season continues to heat up with conference play in full swing. The big game in the Big East this Monday night has Creighton on the road against Villanova, with the Wildcats favored by six points. The Big Ten takes center stage on Tuesday with Indiana squaring off against Michigan State and, turning to Thursday’s slate, keep an eye out for a Pac-12 showdown between Colorado and Arizona in a 9pm ET tipoff.
