Masters and NBA Highlight Weekend Odds Slate

Jordan Spieth had the best opening round in the Masters since 1996, shooting an 8-under-par 64 to open up a three-shot lead over the rest of the field. Spieth has taken over as the betting favorite heading into the weekend's action.

After entering the tournament at 8/1 to win, Jordan Spieth is now going off at 2/1 at online sportsbook Bovada to win the Masters. Spieth has finished in the top two in each of his last three tournament appearances and looks to be well on his way to another high finish in this one.

Jason Day (5/1) and Justin Rose (10/1) are among the golfers heading into Friday tied for second at 5-under-par while Rory McIlroy is now going off at 9/1 sitting at just 1-under-par.

The San Antonio Spurs continued their tear through the NBA this week, improving to 19-3 SU and 18-4 ATS over their last 22 games with a 9-0 SU and ATS record over their last nine.

The Spurs beat Houston 110-98 in San Antonio on Wednesday and will take on the Rockets again in Houston on Friday night as a 2.5-point favorite at 5Dimes. San Antonio returns home to host Phoenix on Sunday.

Other big games this weekend include Memphis at the LA Clippers on Saturday and Atlanta at Washington on Sunday.

The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees meet for a three-game series over the weekend that starts this Friday night in New York. Wade Miley is set to start for the Red Sox on Friday and is a -120 favorite at Bovada over Nathan Eovaldi and the Yankees at +100.

The Ottawa Senators and Pittsburgh Penguins can both clinch a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with one more win. Pittsburgh will get two cracks at a win hosting the New York Islanders as a -125 favorite at 5Dimes on Friday and visiting the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

The Senators visit the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday and can clinch a spot with a win or an overtime loss. The Boston Bruins, who visit Tampa Bay on Saturday, could be the odd team out in the East if they don't win and get help.
