NFC Divisional Round Betting Odds, Analysis

The Atlanta Falcons look to snap a lengthy postseason losing streak against the spread this weekend when they host the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs

The Falcons are coming off an 11-5 regular season during which they were 10-6 ATS. That included a surprisingly average 5-3 record straight up and 3-5 mark ATS at home. In their last six playoff games, Atlanta is 1-5 SU and 0-6 ATS. Atlanta is a 4.5-point favorite at the Bovada sportsbook.

Seattle opened the playoffs last week with a 26-6 win over the Detroit Lions as an 8-point favorite. That win came at home, and it may be the last time they get to play there this season. On the road Seattle was 3-4-1 SU and 3-5 ATS this season. In their last eight games as a road underdog in the playoffs the Seahawks are 0-8 SU and 3-5 ATS.

In Week 6 the Falcons traveled to Seattle and lost to the Seahawks 26-24 as a 6.5-point underdog. Even with that loss the Falcons are still 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six versus Seattle.

In the other NFC divisional round match the Green Bay Packers visit the Dallas Cowboys as a 4-point underdog at Bovada.

Green Bay won their seventh straight last week with a 38-13 win over the New York Giants as a 5-point home favorite. One bit of bad news for the Packers in the win, wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who led the league in touchdown receptions this season, suffered a rib injury and his status is questionable for Sunday.

Dallas was 13-3 SU and 10-5-1 ATS this season, but closed the season on a sour note for bettors at 1-5 ATS in their last six games. At home the Cowboys have won their last seven games at 5-2 ATS and they’re 9-2 SU and 7-4 ATS in their last 11 home playoff games.

In Week 6 Green Bay hosted the Cowboys as a 5.5-point favorite and were upset 30-16. Prior to the loss Green Bay had won five straight against Dallas at 4-1 ATS.

At home the Cowboys have had the upper hand in this matchup, with a 9-1 record SU and 8-2 mark ATS in their last 10 in Dallas versus the Packers. Dallas is also 4-1 SU in their last five playoff games versus the Packers.
