NFL Week 8 Slate: Best Betting Matchups

The Pittsburgh Steelers hope the return of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will give them a much-needed jolt this weekend when they face the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals.

The Steelers are coming off a 23-13 loss to Kansas City as a 3-point underdog. Landry Jones got the start at QB and struggled, with one touchdown pass to go along with two interceptions and a lost fumble. Le’Veon Bell continued his strong season with 121 yards on 17 carries.

The Bengals are coming off their bye week and sit undefeated at 6-0 SU and 5-0-1 ATS. Last time out they took care of Buffalo 34-21 as a 3-point chalk.

With Roethlisberger expected back the oddsmakers at 5Dimes have listed this game as a pick'em. The Steelers have won three in a row SU and ATS against the Bengals and in their last 10 they’re 8-2 SU and ATS.

In Dallas this weekend two teams desperate for a win square off when the Cowboys host the Seahawks.

The Cowboys have dropped four straight so it’s no wonder they’re a 7-point home underdog at 5Dimes. Last week Matt Cassel took over the QB duties but couldn’t stop the bleeding in a 27-20 loss to the Giants as a 3-point underdog. Cassel had three interceptions in a mediocre performance.

Seattle rebounded last week by crushing San Francisco 20-3 as a 6.5-point favorite. Marshawn Lynch rushed for 122 yards and a TD while the Seattle defense limited the 49ers to 142 yards of offense while registering six sacks.

The Cowboys’ record at home is pretty bad right now. They’ve lost four straight ATS and in their last eight they are 1-7 ATS. One positive for Dallas is that they do have a solid record against Seattle at 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five.

The team Seattle is chasing in the NFC West, the Arizona Cardinals, take their No. 2 scoring offense into Cleveland this week to face the Browns as a 7-point road favorite at 5Dimes.

Arizona defeated Baltimore 26-18 as a 10-point favorite last week. Carson Palmer threw a pair of touchdown passes and Chris Johnson continued to turn back the clock, rushing for 122 yards and a TD.

Cleveland got smoked by St. Louis 24-6 last week as a 6-point underdog. Josh McCown had two lost fumbles as the Browns turned the ball over four times in the loss.

Arizona is 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS in their last seven games on the road. That’s much better than Cleveland’s recent home record. In their last six home games Cleveland is 1-5 SU and 2-3-1 ATS. In their last four games against the Browns Arizona is 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS.
