1st Q x3
Las Vegas - Before we get to the NBA hardwood, bot a little horse racing action from my MAIN guy, Martin Calia. Looks like the air quality has improved, Belmont is open and Marty has a play in the 6th race. The bet is # 5 Dream Shake. We haven't seen Shake since last year but he returns with a few new wrinkles. He has a new trainer in Michael Stidham who is 23% when a horse debuts for his barn, returns as a gelding, and adds lasix for this race. Stidham is also 23% when he enters a horse that has not run in 180 days or more. Dream Shake has the back class to beat this group especially if he runs back to the race he ran in the Pat Day Mile at Churchill Downs when he lost by a nostril to Jackies Warrior. His morning line is 5-1, and he should be ready to go as he posted a bullet work on June 2. So, we are betting $25 across the board on #5 Dream Shake, and wheeling him on top for $5 in exactas.
Back to the hoops. Miami wins the game when Miami wins the 1st quarter. Check it out. On Wednesday night, the Heat and Nuggets were tied at 24-24 at the end of the 1st Q. Miami lost. In game two, the Heat won the 1st Q 26-23 and won the game. In the opening game, the Heat lost the 1st Q 29-20, and guess what, lost the game. In game seven against the Celtics, the Heat won the 1st Q 103-84 and sent Boston to the golf course. In game three against the Celtics, the Heat won the 1st Q 30-22 and won the game. You starting to see a pattern here? Tonight, Miami is plus half a point, and guess what, we're BUYING.

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. Looking at the MLB board tonight and the game between the Dodgers and Phillies. If the smoke from Canada has dissipated, check out the Over/Under run total because L.A. has gone OVER in 12 of the last 15 games.
