Las Vegas - Skating on to the NHL ice tonight, and in the battle for the hearts & minds of New York, gonna take the Islanders over the Rangers. These two bitter rivals met at Madison Square Garden this past Monday, and the Rangers utterly embarrassed the Isles, 6-2. So, what happened next? The Islanders, back at home, DESTROYED the Red Wings, 8-2. The Rangers have been playing solid hockey on their home ice, but on enemy ice, they have dropped four in a row and six of the last seven.

Las Vegas - Florida State was really good last season, making it to the Sweet 16 before getting bumped out by Gonzaga. The Seminoles are even better this season. They rumble in with a 14-2 record, with both losses coming on the road. They're 9-0 at home so far, with a 16-0 home run in Tallahassee that dates back to 2019. Now the 'Noles get Virginia, and this AIN'T the same group of Cavaliers that won the National Championship last year.

Las Vegas - Clemson, the hoopsters, celebrated like it was 1999, or actually 1926, after beating North Carolina 79-76 on Saturday at the Dean Dome. Why such a party? The Tigers came to the Dome dragging an 0-59 losing streak against the Tar Heels at Chapel Hill. Yea, OH AND FIFTY NINE!!! And yea, NINETY FOUR YEARS!!! Can't blame the Clemson kids for getting loud and crazy, and they're probably still celebrating.

Las Vegas - Very, very, VERY tough to ignore 29-0! Some teams know how to win, but Clemson DOES NOT know how to lose. Got an Email from a brilliant guy after the LSU/Oklahoma game and he told me, DON'T ever go against Joe Burrow. No doubt that Burrow, or Burreaux if you like, laid down one of the GREATEST performances I have seen in my almost 40 years on the gambling beat. And that was just the FIRST HALF!
