Las Vegas - OPT-OUT: to choose not to participate in something. Nevada QB Carson Strong has OPTED-OUT of the Quick Lane Bowl against Western Michigan, and the line has moved EIGHT POINTS from the open. The Wolfpack opened up as a -2.5 point favorite, but with the status of Strong a question mark, there was a switch of favorite, with Western Michigan checking in as a -3.5 point fav. Now that Carson has OFFICIALLY opted-out, the Broncos have jumped all the way up to -5.5. If you're sitting with a ticket on Western at +2.5, CONGRATS!

More CRAZY with the lines, this time in the NFL, and it's the COVID-19 protocols that are causing havoc on the betting landscape. Looking at the Browns/Raiders game and it's IMPOSSIBLE to make a solid choice. Cleveland QB Baker Mayfield has tested positive for COVID-19. Unless he produces two
negative tests between now and Saturday, he’s OUT! That's why the line has rocketed from an open of the Browns -6.5 to Vegas now -1.5. NUTZO!

Before handicapping any game for the next few weeks, the first stop has to be a check of the COVID-19 list. After looking at the list for tonight's game, it looks like both teams are in pretty good shape, with just one or two players on the COVID-19 list. However, Kansas City's best pass rusher, Chris Jones, is in the protocol, and could miss tonight. That's a GINORMOUS problem because the Chiefs' defense has been RIDONKULOUS the last six weeks. Not sure why it happened, but we do know when. After losing to the Titans 27-3, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo must have made one WHALE of a speech. Since that loss, Kaycee has won six in row, and mostly on the back of the stingy D. They have allowed 65 points over the last six, and when you're allowing an average of just 10.8 points per game, that's GOLD! And when you get the ball back in the hands of Patrick Mahomes, well, you get the drift. Love L.A.'s right arm, Justin Herbert, and he plumped up my bank account last Sunday with an easy win over the Giants. But a YUGE concern for the Chargers is the ankle of their leading rusher, Austin Ekeler. With 730 rushing yards, Ekeler is clearly the best option at RB. The next name on the list is, yea, Herbert, with 268 yards. So, we have questions on both sides. If DE Jones is on the field, we throw down on Kaycee for a medium play. If Ekeler is in a hoodie on the sideline, we make it a Leeloo Dallas special and go BADDA BOOM. If both are out, back to a K.C. tickle!
