celtics 2

Las Vegas - You thinking that the bubble was nothing more than a few exhibition games for the players to get their legs and lungs in shape for the playoffs? With a few exceptions, that's what I'm thinking. Also thinking that you should slice your wager in half, maybe even two thirds for the first game in each series. Kinda take the temperature of each team, then ramp back up to your normal limits.

The Celtics were pretty much locked in at the #3 seed, and posted a 5-3 record in the bubble. Do you actually think Boston cared? Lemme answer that question with the starting lineup in the final regular season game. Tremont Waters, Javonte Green, Enes Kanter, Romeo Langford and Semi Ojeleye. Short answer is, they didn't give a you know what. The last time the Sixers played the Cs, it was up in Boston and the Celtics posted a 116-95 win. And guess who had 23 points, 9 boards and 5 assists? Yup, Ben Simmons. Ben is goneZO!

And if you're thinking, WOW, the 76ers just CRUSHED the Rockets in the season finale, 134-98, c'mon with me and look at the box score. Oh, you already knew that there was NO Russell Westbrook. So, 27 points vanished, as well as 8 boards and 8 assists. So PLZ don't bank on that score moving forward, or, let it affect your handicap. Looking at the Celtics -5.5 and will make it a light tickle. If you can buy the hook down to -5, make it a stronger tickle. That was last night. Somebody musta been looking over my shoulder, because Boston is now up to -6.5, so we're back to a VERY light tickle.

On the ice, we rolled with the Avalanche in the first two games of the series against the Coyotes and came away with two wins for the bank. Then, took off game three, a 4-2 Arizona win. Apparently, the Avs didn't come with the fire in the last game, but they should be smoking in an early evening start and rock a W in game four.

A few pitching changes if you're handicapping baseball. Twins throwing Wisler, Rangers will start Lyles, the A's switched to Bassitt and the Angels list Canning as the starter tonight.
