Las Vegas - So, you picked up your phone, hit the sportsbook app, and bet the Chiefs -7 over the Patriots on Wednesday night. Then you woke up the next morning and found out that Cam Newton tested positive for the Covid 19, and the game was postponed. Then you woke up yesterday, and found out the game is ON for tonight. Only Cam is gone and now Kaycee has been bumped up to -11. Is your head spinning??? Mine is. Obviously, the only play is taking the Patriots at plus YO eleven and praying for the game to land 8, 9, or 10. If it does, you WIN BOTH SIDES. MIDDLE ME BAABBBEEE!!!

Of course, they might still cancel the game, but that's what we're dealing with in 2020!

In the actual game that WAS scheduled for tonight, was thinking about a play to Mr. Discount Double Check and the Packers, but once again, it's 2020. Green Bay is listing Aaron Rodgers new favorite receiver, Allen Lazard, as questionable, and Davante Adams is also a question mark. On the other side of the field, Atlanta's two stud WRs, Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, are both questionable as well. Once again, it's 2020. We've seen this movie before. Atlanta builds a YUGE lead, blows it, and Green Bay comes back to squeeze out a W, but just by six. Betting some 2020 bucks on the ATL, which are worth just 1/3 of the normal dollar.

On the baseball board, you know that I grew up in the BRONX and BLEED pinstripes, so can not possibly add a wager to my existing stress balls. But have some VERY interesting Gerrit Cole stats for you to browse. Cole has seen the Rays three times during the regular season, and the results have been sketchy. In the first outing, he gave up 6 hits and 3 earned runs in just 4.2 innings down in Tampa. In the next start, in the Bronx, he allowed 6 hits and 2 earned in 6.2 innings. The last outing against the Rays, also at Yankee Stadium, Cole was ripped for 8 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 innings. Now, that was all BEFORE Kyle Higashioka took over from Gary Sanchez as his personal catcher. Since Higgy stepped behind the plate, Cole is 3-1 with a 1.00 ERA. In eight games with Sanchez, he was 4-2 with a 3.91 ERA. YUGE difference. So, if you were inclined to throw a few chips at the NYY, we would not discourage that wager.
