#1 vs. #2 ... What are you gonna do???

Las Vegas - Championship Saturday is next up and we're gonna throw you another delicious three team 10 point teaser. Start in the Big 12 for a look at the Texas Tech/BYU game. Tech has been phenomenal this season winning 11 of 12 and BYU has done the same. Two reasons to back the Red Raiders here. They smothered the Cougars back in October, 29-7, holding QB Bear Bachmeier to just 188 air yards and the rushing attack to only 67 yards. Behren Morton didn't play in Tech's only loss to Arizona State (26-22), but his other numbers, 20 TDs, 68% completion rate and 2,428 yards are stellar. So, we're taking Tech from -12 to -2 points against Brigham Young. 
Move down to Atlanta for the SEC title tilt between Alabama and Georgia. These rivals played earlier in the season, with 'Bama squeezing out a 24-21 win AT Georgia. And the AT is a REALLY big deal. Of course revenge is on the table for the Bulldogs, but these two have played it tight to the vest the last few years. The Crimson Tide beat the Dawgs 41-34 last season, and in 2023, they slipped past Georgia 27-24. Would not be surprised to see Georgia exact their pound of flesh, but do not believe that either team will win by more than a dozen. So we're gonna take the Tide from +2.5 to +12.5 against the Bulldogs.
Close the evening up in Indianapolis for the heavyweight battle between #1 Ohio State vs. #2 Indiana. If you're looking for an edge on the coaching front, forget it. Ryan Day has led Ohio State to a National Championship and owns a RIDONKULOUS 82-10 seven year record in Columbus. Curt Cignetti has compiled a 75-11 record the last seven years with James Madison (52-9) and Indiana (23-2). This is also a battle for the Heisman Trophy between State's Julian Sayin and the Hoosiers Fernando Mendoza. Right now, most have Mendoza as the favorite, with Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia second and Sayin third. Really liked what we saw from Julian against Michigan last week when he opened the game with an INT and an incompletion. After that, he went on a heater, completing 19 of 24 for 233 yards and three TDs. Expecting a Buckeye W for sure, but just in case, we're taking 'em from -4 to +6 points against Indiana.

We were a day early with the NHL pick, but still  gonna ride the Zamboni up in Toronto this evening and buy the Maple Leafs over the Canadiens.
