Is it REALLY time for Lunch???
Las Vegas - Gonna go right past the Cure Bowl because BOTH starting QBs have decided to opt out of this game. USF's Byrum Brown, who passed for 3,158 yards and rushed for 1,008 gives way to backup Gaston Moore, who has passed for 54 yards. Yea, FIFTY FOUR! Old Dominion's Colton Joseph who passed for 2,624 yards and rushed for 1,007 yards with 34 TDs will be replaced by Quinn Henicle, who has passed for 57 yards. Yea, FIFTY SEVEN! Too many questions, too many unknowns, so we'll take a hall pass.
In the late game, the 68 Ventures Bowl, we're thinking Delaware but are wavering because Louisiana has a kid at QB with one of the best names EVER! You ready? You sitting? Lemme present the Ragin' Cajuns QB, D'Wanye 'LUNCH' Winfield. Why LUNCH? Of course we poured over all the Winfield articles and found out that he got the nickname from a time that he ate his grandfather's chicken wing when he was just a few months old. Mystery solved. Lunch started six games this season, was 3-3 and had a decent 60.2% completion rate. On the other side of the field, Blue Hens QB Nick Minicucci passed for 3,507 yards with 22 TDs and seven INTs. Leaning to the Hens but light, real light.
