Puttin' on the Fritz!!!

Las Vegas - Willie Fritz inherited a mess at Houston after Dana Holgorson was fired. The Cougars posted a 4-8 record in 2023 with Holgorson and Fritz finished with the same record in his first season (2024). With a year to work his magic, Fritz led Houston to a 9-3 record this season. Two of the losses came against one of the four best teams in the country, Texas Tech. The other loss came against West Virginia, something that we can't explain. LSU started the season 4-0, then went into an ugly slide, which cost Brian Kelly his job. They managed to steal Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss, but he ain't gonna be coaching 'em up yet. The Tigers will be without some real star power, because QB Garrett Nussmeier, consensus All-America CB Mansoor Delane, star LBs Whit Weeks and Harold Perkins plus WR Aaron Anderson are injured or have opted out. This is basically a home game for Houston at NRG Stadium which is just six miles from campus. Gimme the Coogs for a nice size deposit into the Bank of Benj.

Then we'll throw you a delicious three team 10-point teaser starting with the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland. We're gonna take Pittsburgh and drop the Panthers from -10.5 to -0.5 point against East Carolina. Then on to the Fenway Bowl in Boston where we'll plump up Connecticut from +8.5 to +18.5 points against Army. Close it out in Albuquerque for the New Mexico Bowl and take North Texas from -6 to +4 points against San Diego State.
