Las Vegas - Once again it's the transfer portal and opt-outs that will be a YUGE factor in the Liberty Bowl between Navy and Cincinnati. Start with the Bearcats and we can tell you that their starting QB, Brendan Sorsby, is gone. Sorsby is generally regarded as the top ranked QB in the portal. Why? How about 2,800 passing yards with 27 TDs through the air and nine more on the ground. Impressive, but he's history. His backup, Brady Lichtenberg, has thrown for 333 yards and three TDs over four seasons. That's 83 yards per year and 3/4 of a TD each year. Yeah, I did the math. Cincy will be without RB Tawee Walker, its top two defensive players and four of their five starters in the defensive backfield. At Navy, they DON'T do opt-outs. EVERYONE plays, NO ONE leaves. The Midshipmen are led by QB Blake Horvath, who has passed for 1,472 yards and 10 TDs as well as rushing for 1,147 yards and 15 TDs. The kid is a STUD! Not sure about laying seven and a hook, because even though they win, the Navy's spread record is kinda ugly at 3-8. So gimme the Sailor Boys on the money line PLZ.
