A Hurricane is coming!!!

Las Vegas - The Hurricanes ain't flashy, but they just win. Kinda like their head coach Mario Cristobal. After five years and a 35-13 record at Oregon, Cristobal came home to Miami where he won two National Championships as a player (offensive tackle) back in 1989 and 1991. His first two years were kinda eh (12-13), but his last two (22-5) have been elite. Miami went on the road and beat a very tough Texas A&M team, 10-3, that was ranked #7, then handled #3 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, 24-14. Like his coach, Hurricanes QB Carson Beck ain't flashy, but he just wins. He was 19 of 26 for 138 yards and 1 TD against the Buckeyes, who just finished the season with the NUMBER ONE defense in all of college football. Beck also has been a beast down the stretch, hitting on 76% of his passes and throwing for 13 TDs against only 1 INT. The 'Canes didn't need all that much from Beck because the ground game, led by Mark Fletcher, gobbled up 138 yards against an Ohio State team that was allowing just 89 yards per game. Now Miami gets the #30 ranked defense in Ole Miss, allowing 146 yards on the ground per game. The other arm, Mississippi's Trinidad Chambliss, has also been on a heater the last five games. He has hit on 74% of his passes with 11 TDs and just 1 INT. However, with the exception of Georgia's defense that was ranked #11, he took advantage of Florida (#60), Mississippi State (#106), Tulane (#59) and a Citadel team that was so BAD they didn't make it onto the list because they played in the FCS. Now Trinidad has to deal with a defense that has 12 sacks in the two College Football Playoff games, and LEADS the nation this season with 46 sacks. Chambliss is fast, he is smart, he has a little Patrick Mahomes in him, but it's gonna be tough. Why? Miami saw a dual threat QB when they beat Texas A&M. Marcel Reed had 493 yards on the ground this season (Chambliss had 520) and the 'Canes sacked him SEVEN times. Miami is fast, Miami is nasty and Miami hits hard, really hard. Everything you expect from a Hurricane!

On the prop board, gimme a little taste of the Miami defense to score an Anytime TD at a delicious +$650. And will also drop a few bucks on Miami RB Mark Fletcher to go Over 1.5 receptions.
