I'm gonna make an offer you can't refuse!!!

Las Vegas - Two schools of thought. First is, history repeats itself. Second is, revenge is a dish best served cold. That was some French author back in the 1700s, but we know it from Don Vito Corleone/Marlon Brando in 'The Godfather.' We have those two schools of thought because we have a regular season game to explore. Indiana went to Oregon back in October and posted a 30-20 victory over the Ducks. Since Oregon was riding an 18-0 PERFECTO in Eugene, that was pretty impressive. Both teams have been stellar in the playoffs with the Hoosiers maybe a bit more so because of the competition. Indiana shutdown Ohio State 10-3 and CRUSHED Alabama 38-3. Oregon wrestled with James Madison picking up 51-34 win, then threw a 23-0 bagel at Texas Tech. Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza was just okay in the game at Oregon, hitting on 20 of 31 for 215 yards with one TD and one INT. RB Roman Hemby rushed for 70 yards and 2 TDs and hit 1,007 yards for the season. The other arm, Dante Moore, completed 21 of 34 for 186 yards with one TD and two INTs against Indiana.

This has nothing to do with handicapping, but rather why Curt Cignetti is such a DOG. Maybe one of the best lines EVER from a coach at a press conference. When they asked Cignetti about his vision for the program, he said, 'It's pretty simple. I win. Google me.'

Now a little personal note. After finishing college and spending a year in Europe, I applied to grad school at Indiana. If you have not been, the campus in Bloomington is magical. They accepted me for the very prestigious Resident Assistant Program, but after being out of school for a year, I TANKED the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) and never went. My best friend of 60 years was a graduate and we hit a number of basketball games with Bobby Knight on the bench. So, a little skewed as far the heart vs. the head thing. Thinking Hoosiers, but just in case, gimme the money line.

On the prop board, got one that looks too good to be true. Gonna take Ducks QB Dante Moore Over 3.5 rushing yards. He wound up with -12 yards against Texas Tech because of sacks, but he has gone Over 3.5 yards in 10 of 14 games this season. Yeah, I know that he was -27 yards in the first game against the Hoosiers because of SIX sacks. However, Indiana has lost DLs Kellan Wyatt and Stephen Daley who combined for 1.5 sacks and SEVEN pressures against the Ducks. Moore Over 3.5 yards is MONEY in the Bank of Benj!
