"Y" are we rolling with Cincy???
Las Vegas - Gonna roll down to Ohio for a look at the Cincinnati/BYU game. Lemme hit you with two names. AJ Dybantsa and Richie Saunders. As most college hoop geeks know, Dybantsa is projected as a possible #1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft, certainly top five. AJ is having a fabulous season, averaging 24.9 points per game, 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists. But without Saunders (season-ending ACL tear), BYU has lost three of the last four and will struggle in Cincy. Richie brought senior leadership to the 'Y' as well as an average of 18 ppg, 5.8 boards and 2.1 assists. The Bearcats are heading in the opposite direction, winning five of the last six, with my favorite name in all of college basketball, Day-Day Thomas leading the way. Yeah, Day-Day. His actual name is DeVeon, but C'MON, how GREAT is Day-Day! The other star for Cincy is Moustapha Thiam. We're talking about a seven foot, 250 pound specimen who is a double-double machine. Thiem has averaged 20.6 ppg and 10 boards the last five games. The Bearcats are listed in the 'Next Four Out,' category, but a win tonight and on Saturday at TCU and they could be 'Next Four In.' Gimme Cincy for the money.
