4-0 vs. 2-10 ... Gimme 4-0 PLZ!

Las Vegas - Porter Moser. Sound familiar? If you remember, he had a great run with Loyola-Chicago guiding the Ramblers to a stunning Final Four appearance back in 2017-18. Moser has been working in Norman since 2021-22 and has had only one losing season. This year's Oklahoma squad has had more ups and downs than a Duncan yo-yo. The Sooners opened the season winning 11 of their first 14 games and then they fell into a deep dark black hole. The Okies lost nine in a row, including an 85-76 L at South Carolina. Not sure what Porter told his kids, but on February 7, they beat Vanderbilt, followed by a W against Georgia. After losing to Auburn and Tennessee, Oklahoma closed the regular season on a gorgeous 4-0 run with wins over Auburn, LSU, Missouri and Texas. On the other bench, the Gamecocks have been ugly down the stretch, losing 10 of their last 12. Not thrilled laying seven and a hook so we'll just tap the Sooners on the money line.

Las Vegas - Heading to Music City, Nashville, for a look at the 'what have you done lately' category. Texas (18-13) will matchup with Mississippi (12-19) for a shot to advance to the second round of the SEC tournament. The Longhorns have won six of the last 10 straight up with a 4-6 mark against the spread. They have gone Over seven times and Under three times. Ole Miss has only one win in the last 10 games straight up and has covered just three of 10. They have gone Over nine times and Under just once. These two met in Austin back on February 7 and the Horns (-10) posted a 79-68 win, and the O/U total, which closed at 146, went Over by a stick.
