Las Vegas - Before we get to the pick, here is my bracket that's gonna win ONE BILLION DOLLARS, or at least ONE MILLION!!!

Miami-Ohio was PERFECT in the regular season, then lost to UMass in the MAC tournament, 87-83. The pressure on these kids to complete the perfecto with a MAC crown was enormous. How big? Think the Great Pyramid at Giza. After that loss, now they have a chip on their shoulder, maybe even bigger than the Great Pyramid. They were forced into a First Four play-in game. And the fact that they're a fat 7-point underdog makes that chip grow larger by the hour. We understand that the ACC is way better than the MAC and that respected ratings guy KenPom has SMU 10 points better than Miami. But we looked at SMU's recent work and it ain't impressive. The Mustangs have lost five of the last six down the stretch. And their last five wins have come against Pittsburgh (13-20), Notre Dame (13-18), Louisville (23-10), Boston College (11-20) and Syracuse (15-17). With the exception of Louisville, the wins have come against the bottom feeders of the ACC. Don't care if you're playing in the over 70 league at the YMCA, 31-1 is still THIRTY ONE & ONE! Gimme Miami OH for the money.

Las Vegas - Checking back in on the First Four tonight for a look at the 'what have you done lately' category. SMU (20-13) is facing off against Miami-Ohio (31-1) for a chance to matchup with Tennessee on Friday night. The Mustangs have won only three of the last 10 straight up with an ugly 3-7 mark against the spread. And yet they're are a 7-point favorite over Miami. What? SMU has gone Over six times and Under four times. Miami-O has won nine of the last 10 games with a 5-5 record against the spread. They have gone Over just three times and Under seven. These teams have not met this season.
