Feeling very Royal this afternoon!

Las Vegas - Driving from Chicago to Kansas City for a pick on the Royals/White Sox game. Never mind. Gonna fly. Kansas City will rely on the right arm of Michael Wacha tonight and that arm has been throwing peas. Wacha has started twice and allowed just one earned run over 13 innings. The calculator tells me that's a 0.69 ERA and that's stingy. Chicago sends out Erick Fedde and while his numbers are not terrible (11 innings, five earned runs), he has yet to win a game (0-2). Fedde has bounced around MLB, pitching for the Nationals, Cardinals, Braves, Brewers and White Sox, with a career record of 34-57 and a 4.93 ERA. Those numbers and Wacha's right arm should translate into a nice deposit for the Bank of Benj.

Las Vegas - Skating on to the NHL ice for a look at a game tonight in the 'what have you done lately' category. The Islanders (43-31-5) are hosting the Senators (42-27-10). New York has won four of the last 10 straight up and has a 4-6 record against the spread. They have gone Over seven times and Under three times. Ottawa has won six of the last 10 straight up and has a 6-4 record against the spread. They have gone Over four times and Under five times with one push. These teams have met twice this season. On October 18, the Isles posted a 5-4 victory in Ottawa. The Over/Under total was six goals flat and went high. On March 19, the Senators picked up a 3-2 victory in Ottawa. The Over/Under total was six flat and went low.
