The Yankees have Gerrit Cole back on the mound for tonight's start of this key series with their division rivals, but he has not pitched in a big league game since October of 2024 and there is no question he will be on a pitch count. The Yankees have already been swept by the Rays once this season, and they have scored just one run in their last pair of games. They have lost 4 of their last 6 games overall. The Rays have won 4 in a row, and are clear of New York by 4 1/2 games in the division standings. Nick Martinez is 4-1 with a 1.51 ERA, and he held the Yankees to one run over 4.2 innings of work back in that April sweep by the Rays at home. At this price, I have to back Tampa Bay no doubt!!!!

Quick look to Philly before we bounce down to San Antonio. Gonna roll with the Phillies and Christopher Sanchez over the Guardians. Sanchez has been amazing the last three times out, throwing 27 innings worth of bagels at the A's, Rockies and Pirates. Don't even need the calculator to figure out his ERA, which is ZERO, ZERO POINT ZERO! C'mon and ring the Liberty Bell with me.
On the NBA playoff board, game three is a TOUGH call. Would normally look at the Spurs on their home floor, but if De'Aaron Fox and Dylan Harper are both out, that's a YUGE problem. We LOVE Stephon Castle and think he is gonna be an All-Star for many years to come, but he has had issues moving over to point guard. Castle has committed 20 turnovers in the first two games, the most in a two-game span in the playoffs since they were first tracked in 1977. If Fox and Harper are in street clothes, San Antonio would have to look at Carter Bryant and Jordan McLaughlin. And that's a no fly zone for this guy. However, we will throw out a prop wager, Alex Caruso Over 10.5 points. Caruso is getting a ton of minutes off the bench. He played 32 minutes in the opener and scored 31 points, then played 25 in game two and posted 17 points. OVER 10.5 points should be easy money in the Bank of Benj.
