Vikings and Elephants and the French frying the Swedes!
Las Vegas - Most are putting Erling Haaland and Norway into the Round of 16, and the Vikings certainly could make it, but this Ivory Coast team can play. Gonna pass on picking a winner but will go back to our favorite prop wager, 'both teams to score.' Norway is not known for its defensive capabilities and has allowed seven goals in three games at the Cup. The Elephants also know how to find the back of the net. They have scored in every match in the group stage and you gotta go all the way back to November 2025 to find the last time they ate a bagel. Both teams to score for the money plz.
Next up we gotta go with France over Sweden. Kylian Mbappe is truly a Top 5 player in the world. But the French also have a guy, Ousmane Dembele, who had a hat trick against Norway and won the Ballon d'Or, which is given to the best player in the world. And don't sleep on Michael Olise or Desire Doue who also provide a wicked scoring touch. Les Bleus dominated the Group Stage, winning all three and outscoring their opponents 10-2. Sweden had an ugly Group Stage, opening with a 5-1 win over Tunisia, then getting rocked by the Netherlands 5-1 before finishing with a 1-1 draw against Japan. If I said the French are gonna FRY Sweden, would you be mad at me?
