Red is the color of the day!

Las Vegas - If you were wondering when Spain actually lost a match, you would have to go all the way back to March 22, 2024. That was a 1-0 loss to Colombia at a neutral site in London. Since that loss, La Roja has not lost in 34 matches. They won 26 and had eight draws. Spain has played four matches at the World Cup and has not allowed a goal. They've outscored the opposition 8-0. Portugal hasn't really impressed anyone despite reaching the Round of 16. The Portuguese opened with a 1-1 draw against DR Congo, blew away Uzbekistan, one the worst teams at the dance, 5-0, then had another draw against Colombia at 0-0. They were lucky to advance with a 2-1 win over Croatia when a late goal was disallowed. Not gonna get crazy, but will drop a few chips on Spain.
Now to the USA vs. Belgium match that everyone is waiting for. Tough, tough, tough break for the Stars & Stripes who will be without Folarin Balogun after catching a red card against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Balogun has scored three times at the World Cup and it will be hard to replace that offensive firepower. Belgium has won six of the last seven meetings between these two teams, including a 5-2 W back in March. Wanna know the last time the USA beat Belgium? Almost 100 years ago at the 1930 World Cup. The Red Devils opened with two draws, 1-1 against Egypt and 0-0 against Iran. They rocked New Zealand 5-1 then squeezed past Senegal, 3-2. A little nervous about not having Balogun so we'll close the wallet and just root like crazy for the Stars & Stripes.
HOLD ON! After finishing this paragraph, we just found out that FIFA has suspended Balogun's red card and he WILL be available to face Belgium tonight. So, does that lead to an open wallet? Nah, still rooting with the heart and that means no money will be on the table.
