Snakes in the desert for the W!
Las Vegas - Quick drive from Vegas to Phoenix for a look at the Diamondbacks/A's game. The D'backs have been getting stronger at just the right time. They have won six of the last eight (not including last night), and are much better at home (29-22) than on the road (22-27). They might be 11.5 games behind the Dodgers in the N.L. West, but they're just a half a game out of a Wild Card slot. 'Zona will send Merrill Kelly to the hill and you're probably wondering why we're locking in on a guy that has a 7-8 record with a 5.20 ERA. After checking the last couple of starts, we found out that Kelly has allowed just two earned runs over the last 12 innings (1.50 ERA). The soon-to-be Las Vegas A's have fallen hard, REALLY HARD, after a solid start to the season. Since the middle of June, they have lost 19 games and won just five. Their recent run on the road includes just one win in the last nine games. The A's will send Gage Jump to the bump, kinda liked the rhyme in that spot, and he has been struggling. Jump comes to Phoenix on an 0-4 run and has been rocked for 28 hits and 14 earned runs over the last 16 innings (7.88 ERA). Gotta have the Snakes for another deposit into the Bank of Benj.

Las Vegas - Back on the MLB board for a look at a game tonight in the 'what have you done lately' category. The Diamondbacks (51-49) are hosting the A's (43-57). Arizona has won six of the last 10 and has gone Over four times and Under five times with one push. The A's have won two of the last 10 and have gone Over four times and Under six times.
These teams have met once this season (not including last night). On July 20, the A's (+$125) posted a 5-2 victory in Arizona. The Over/Under total was 9.5 runs and went Under.
