Las Vegas - After trading the BEST pitcher in the world, Tarik Skubal, you would think that the Tigers have thrown in the proverbial towel. NOT so fast. Detroit is sitting one game under .500 at 60-62, but they've won four of the last six and are sitting just 3.5 games behind the White Sox for the A.L. Central crown. And sitting in a tie for a Wild Card spot. One of the reasons is the right arm of Troy Melton. The kid is sitting on a gorgeous 7-1 record with a skinny 1.46 ERA. And his last three starts have been 20 innings worth of BAGELS! Melton has started twice this season against the White Sox, allowing just two earned runs over 13 innings. The Sox are not the same team on the road (25-34) as they are in Chicago (37-24). Dancing up to Motown for another deposit into the Bank of Benj.
