One earned run in the last 11 innings ... we're buying!
Las Vegas - You get two very different teams when looking at the Marlins. At home in Miami, the Fish have a superb 38-25 record (not including last night), but on the road, it's an ugly 26-39 mark. Now you add righty Eury Perez to the equation, and things start to pop. If you took a quick look at Perez's 6-9 record, you would probably think, why pick him. We looked a little deeper and found out that his last two starts have been exceptional, allowing only one earned run over 11 innings with 12 Ks. Then we checked in on Washington's Jake Irvin, and his numbers have been rocky. Irvin missed over two months with a right shoulder strain, and since coming back, he has not won a game (0-3). And his stats have been yikes, giving up 18 hits and 16 earned runs in just 20 innings which works out to a bulbous 7.20 ERA. Gimme South Beach for another deposit into the Bank of Benj.

Back on the MLB board for a look at a game tonight in the 'what have you done lately' category. The White Sox (66-61) are hosting the Mets (58-70) tonight. Chicago has won five of the last 10 and has gone Over three times and Under seven times. New York has won seven of the last 10 and has gone Over four times and Under six times.
These teams have not met this season (not including last night).
