Las Vegas - Cleveland is fighting for the top spot in the A.L. Central and has seven wins in the last eight games (not including last night). The Guardians send Parker Messick to the hill and the young lefty has been having a solid season with a 10-8 record and a 2.50 ERA. Messick has been on quite a run in July and August and has not allowed more than two earned runs in any of his last nine starts. Gimme the Guardians for the money.

Back on the MLB board for a look at a game tonight in the 'what have you done lately' category. The Rays (80-54) are hosting the Padres (72-63) this afternoon. Tampa Bay has won five of the last 10 and has gone Over six times and Under four times. San Diego has won five of the last 10 and has gone Over three times and Under seven times. 

These teams have met once this season (not including last night). On August 28, the Rays (-$125) posted a 9-4 win in Tampa. The Over/Under total was 7.5 runs and went Over.
