Gimme the 'Stros but only with Wesneski!
Las Vegas - Houston is fighting for the A.L. West crown and needs to pile up some Ws at home. Hayden Wesneski is on the hill and after spending three years with the Cubs, the big righty has found a home in H-town. Wesneski is sitting at 4-1 with a 3.86 ERA, but it's his last two starts that have set off an alarm in my wallet. He has thrown 10 innings, allowed only one earned run and posted 10 Ks. The other arm, Chicago's Sean Burke, has been struggling, giving up 14 hits and 10 earned runs over the last 13 innings. And while we like the White Sox at home with a 41-27 record, they're a totally different team on the road at 31-37. Gotta roll with the Astros for another deposit into the Bank of Benj.
If the Astros should plug another pitcher in for Wesneski, then we would have to take a pass.
