Gimme +24.5 points at The Farm!
Las Vegas - Looking at an ACC matchup tonight in California where one team, Stanford, has a game under its belt, while the other, Miami-Florida, has yet to play for real. We know that the Hurricanes SMOKED Stanford in Miami last season, 42-7. We know that the 'Canes are the favorite to win the ACC while Stanford was predicted to finish dead last in the media poll. Okay. We also know that Miami has lost a bunch of talent to the NFL. We also know that the Cardinal have a new head coach, Tavita Pritchard, who comes to The Farm after a three year stint as QB coach for the Washington Commanders. Looked at the results from Stanford's win over Hawaii and after jumping out to a 23-7 lead heading into the 4th Q, the Cardinal eased off and allowed the Rainbow Warriors to score 20 points before closing out a 37-27 win. Miami should get the win in this spot, but on the road last season, the Hurricanes only had one W where the final margin was more than 24 points (38-7 over Pittsburgh). Put me down for PLUS 24.5 points at The Farm.
This season has been a disaster for the Mets who are sitting at 63-77, with the exception of one bright spot, Nolan McLean. Named after you-know-who, McLean is 10-8 with a 3.06 ERA, which is pretty solid, but his last four starts have been shutdown. Talking about 25 innings and two earned runs for an invisible 0.72 ERA. Gimme the Mets for the money.
