An apple a day!

Las Vegas - Normally, the Apple Cup, the rivalry game between Washington and Washington State, comes toward the end of the season, but now, it's the opener. The Huskies are favored by 23.5 points and why not. They crushed the Cougars last season, 59-24. Not gonna lay the bundle, and since it's the first week, it'll just be a light bet. Gonna take U DUB -6.5 points to win the 1st quarter. The Huskies rolled to a 14-0 advantage at the end of the 1st quarter last year, and that was AT Pullman. Now, they're home in Seattle and expecting Washington QB Demond Williams Jr. to rock the party once again. In last year's Apple Cup, Williams was 16 of 19 for 288 yards with 4 TDs and 88 yards on the ground. Gimme the Huskies to win the 1st Q.
