Shrimp on the barbie & 49ers plus the points!

Las Vegas - Start out with, this is still week 1 so don't get nutz. Looking at a wicked NFC West rivalry being played at a neutral site in Australia. The Rams are either -3.5 or -4 points in the opener, depending on where you shop and we're shopping at Circa where the number is 4 points. You can also find a 4 at BetMGM, HardRock and ESPN Bet. So, we're gonna dog it and take plus four with San Francisco. We have seen all the screaming and fawning about the Rams adding defensive superstars Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald. Congratulations to the GM, but Donald did not make the trip to Melbourne and Garrett has been limited in the preseason with knee swelling. We looked at the Niners on the offensive side and when healthy, they are a LOAD. Start with CMC, RB Christian McCaffrey and QB Brock Purdy. The 49ers also added the superb WR Mike Evans to the receivers room and resigned Deebo Samuel. And All-Pro TE George Kittle is back causing problems for opposing defenses. Not that we live and die with trends, but the Niners have covered the spread in eight of their last nine games as underdogs against the Rams. Once again, not gonna throw too many chips on the table, but my heart and wallet will be on the San Francisco side of the field.

ECKstats

Moving over to the NFL board, we can tell you that the Rams posted a 14-6 straight up record last season, with a 12-8 mark against the spread. They were 6-6 ATS on the road and 11-6 as a favorite. And the 'Rams went Over 12 times and Under eight times. The 49ers posted a 13-6 straight up record last season, with an 11-7-1 mark against the spread. They were 8-3 ATS on the road and 3-5 as an underdog. And the Pats went Over 11 times and Under seven times with one push.
