Sandwich game might be delicious and maybe even profitable!

Las Vegas - Start out in upstate New York where we're looking at Syracuse -3 points over California. You can throw out the Orange 66-3 romp last week against the high school team, oops New Hampshire. It was nice to see that 'Cuse can throw with QB Steve Angeli hitting on 20/29 for 263 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs. They gobbled up 239 yards on the ground and that's gonna be a YUGE problem for a Cal team that was gashed by UCLA last week for 277 yards and 6 TDs on the ground. Color me Orange baby!

Also gonna take a quick run to Champaign and buy Illinois on the money line, around -$220, over Duke.

Gonna tell you about a sandwich in Louisiana. LSU is coming off a dynamic 51-10 win over Clemson and will travel to Ole Miss next week. You know that's gonna be a circus and you know the Tigers have had that game circled on the calendar since Lane Kiffin left Oxford for Baton Rouge. So, Louisiana Tech is in the middle of this sandwich. Just like last season. LSU opened 2025 with a 17-10 win over Clemson and had a game against Florida in Week 3. What happened in the middle of that sandwich? The Tigers beat La Tech 23-7, failing to cover the ginormous 36 point spread. We know that the Bulldogs ain't gonna win, but at plus 35.5 points, they're worth a tickle.

ECKstats

Moving over to the college football board, we can tell you that Texas posted a 10-3 straight up record last season, with a 5-7-1 mark against the spread. They were 4-1-1 ATS at home and 1-2 as an underdog. Ohio State posted a 12-2 straight up record last season, with an 9-3-1 mark against the spread. They were 4-3 ATS on the road and 9-3-1 as a favorite.
