Trends are nice, but don't follow blindly!

Las Vegas - If you follow trends, ya gotta like the Rams. Why? Sean McVay has never lost to the Giants (4-0). QB Matthew Stafford is 2-0 against the Giants since joining the Rams. And last season, L.A. was 4-1 following a loss, straight up and against the spread. The Rams were money at home in 2025, winning seven of eight straight up and six of eight against the spread. The Rams will also be able to replace one All-World player, Myles Garrett, with another All-World player, Aaron Donald. But as everyone knows, Donald has not played a snap in anger since 2024, and, and, he IS 35 years old. Now we're gonna take a look at the Giants. They had a superb opening game against the Cowboys in John Harbaugh's debut, posting a 28-20 win. Jaxson Dart was very accurate, hitting on 23 of 29 for 230 yards and the defense was rock solid. They limited a Dallas team that had the 2nd best offense in the NFL last season to just 175 air yards and only 69 on the ground. Great opener for the Giants, but it's still just one game. As you know, we have an unnatural New York bias and almost always stay away from betting teams that live in my heart. So, it's probably a pass for me, but would not say no to the NYG if you can find a +7.
ECKstatsMoving back to the NFL board, we can tell you that the Rams posted a 14-6 straight up record last season, with a 12-8 mark against the spread. They were 6-2 ATS at home and 11-6 as a favorite. L.A. went Over 12 times and Under eight times. The Giants posted a 4-13 straight up record last season, with a 9-8 mark against the spread. They were 5-4 ATS on the road and 8-7 as an underdog. New York went Over 11 times and Under six times.
