Best TE of all-time? I got Tony Gonzalez!
Las Vegas - How about the NFC South with three teams tied for the top spot at 1-2 (not including last night's Panthers/Lions game). Looking at the numbers, the Saints opened at -3.5 and have dropped to -1.5 points at most sportsbooks. FanDuel is still at -2.5 while Circa is at -2. Not interested in either side but very interested in the tight end picture. Atlanta's TE Kyle Pitts, one of the best in the league, has only one reception and six targets in the first three games. Two reasons. Atlanta used Cooper Rush at QB in the first two games and Bijan Robinson is running wild. Now that Michael Penix is back at QB, we expect Pitts to get at least five or six targets from Penix which should translate to at least three grabs. Last season, Penix and Pitts hooked up for 38 receptions in nine games, an average of 4+ grabs per game. So, Over 2.5 receptions is the bet. The other TE, Noah Fant, has been solid for New Orleans in two of the first three games. Fant had eight targets and four catches in the opener against Detroit and four targets and four grabs against the Raiders last week. Not sure what happened in the second game when he did not have a target or a catch against the Ravens. Expecting Fant to continue his connection with QB Tyler Shough which is why we're going Over 1.5 receptions for the money.
