Steal a base ... hit a home run!

Las Vegas - Apparently, no one is gonna be watching this World Series because the big market teams are gone. I'll be watching because this matchup of annoying, scrappy, relentless, talented squads play baseball, old school. They bunt, they run, they defend and they foul off four million pitches. How will that affect the starters? First we'll look at Milwaukee's Jacob Misiorowski. The Miz brought some scorching heat, like 104.8 mph in the first playoff start against the Padres, but that does not tell the entire story. After closing out the season with 13 innings worth of bagels, Miz has not been as sharp in the playoffs? Why? Days rest between starts. In those last three regular season outings, Miz had six days rest, four days and six days rest. In the playoffs, he had five days rest in the San Diego start and seven days in the start against the Dodgers. Because Milwaukee swept Los Angeles, Misiorowski will pick up the ball with 11 days of rest. Yo ELEVEN! That's a worry. And if you're wondering, Miz did face Tampa back on April 1 in Milwaukee, allowing four hits and two earned runs in six innings.

The other arm, Tampa's Drew Rasmussen gets to face the team that drafted him and dealt him to the Rays five years ago. Unlike the Miz, Rasmussen will be on five days rest. And he has been a BEAST in the second half of the season, winning 11 games without a loss, while the Rays have won 14 of his last 15 starts. Rasmussen faced the Brew Crew and Misiorowski in that game on April 1, allowing two hits and one earned run over five innings.

Oops. After finishing the research on Rasmussen, the Rays decided to switch to Nick Martinez. Okay. Martinez faced the Brew Crew on March 30 in Milwaukee, allowing six hits and two earned runs over six innings.

Woulda leaned to the Rays tonight if it was Rasmussen, but this matchup is super tough to figure, so it's a pass on the game and off to Prop City. First look is Tampa's Chandler Simpson to steal a base at +$320. Simpson led the American League with 46 swipes and if he gets on, he runs. Also gonna take a look at Milwaukee's Brice Turang to hit a home run at +$880. Turang hit 21 bombs this season, has a nice compact swing and if he just sticks out his bat at one of Miz's 103+ mph pitches, it should find the bleachers.
