Mahomes + Walker + a wonky Darnold = a W at +13 points!
Las Vegas - Normally, we never bet on or against a New York team in any sport, but today, we break our rule. Looking at the Texans in the first leg of a three team 10-point teaser. The Texans started the season ugly, really ugly, losing four in a row. They have come back to win two in a row and should be able to handle a Giants team that has been forced to QB #3, J.J. McCarthy. Nothing against J.J., but Houston's arm, Kyler Murray, has been on fire the last two games, hitting on 50 of 68 (73.5%) for 573 yards with four TDs and just one INT. Gimme the Texans and slice 'em from -10 points to a pick'em.
Then we stop in my town, Vegas, and take the Raiders from +3.5 to +13.5 points against the Rams. Los Angeles is struggling, losing three of the last four with an 0-4 run against the spread. Vegas is cashing almost every week, covering five of the last six and QB Kirk Cousins is tied for the league lead with 14 TD passes. Matthew Stafford is always dangerous, but without WRs Davante Adams and possibly Puka Nacua, the options are very thin.
Close it with the Chiefs against the Seahawks. Kaycee comes in at 5-0 with an almost totally healthy Patrick Mahomes and the NFL's leading rusher, Kenneth Walker III. Did we mention that Walker played for Seattle last season and oh yeah, was also the Super Bowl MVP? Seahawks QB Sam Darnold has been wonky so far, with seven TDs and seven INTs. So we're plumping up Kansas City from +3 to +13 points.
