2020 NFL Draft: Quarterback Props

The 2020 NFL Draft begins Thursday broadcasting live from Roger Goodell’s basement. While watching the picks unfold and marveling at the fact you’re really watching a draft from the commissioner’s basement, you can also give yourself a shot at making a few dollars on NFL draft props at Bovada Sportsbook.

Today we’re going to focus solely on quarterback props. Unless they go completely off book, the Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the first pick. Burrow is so heavily favored to go No. 1 that betting on Bovada’s No. 1 pick prop isn’t really worth it. Burrow is a -10000 favorite.

Tagovailoa slight underdog to be second QB drafted

The harder pick is trying to decide who will be the second quarterback off the board. The experts expect it to be either Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa or Oregon’s Justin Herbert. On the prop odds for the second quarterback drafted, Tagovailoa is listed at -115 and Herbert at -125. If you expect the unexpected, or if you like throwing money away, you can also get Utah State’s Jordan Love at +3500 and Burrow at +6600.

Returning to Tagovailoa and Herbert, both quarterbacks have a number of interesting prop bets at Bovada.

For Tagovailoa, you can bet on which team will draft the Alabama quarterback. The co-favorites are the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers at +150 with both teams needing a reset at quarterback. The Dolphins have the fifth pick, while the Chargers hold the sixth pick. Some experts think Tagovailoa could slide down the draft list due to injury concerns, so also getting good odds to land him are the Jacksonville Jaguars (ninth pick) at +500 and the Las Vegas Raiders (12th pick) at +700.

For the prop on which team will draft Herbert, Miami is favored at -120. Right behind the Dolphins on the odds are the Chargers at +110. The odds rise significantly after those two teams with Jacksonville next at +1100.

Odds favor Herbert to be top-five selection

There is also an OVER//UNDER prop bet for where Herbert will be drafted. The total was set at 5.5 with the UNDER favored at -135 and the OVER listed at -105.

A few other quarterbacks getting OVER/UNDER draft odds include Utah State’s Love, Washington’s Jacob Eason, Oklahoma’s Jalen Hurts and Georgia’s Jake Fromm.

For Love, the total was set at 19.5 with the OVER favored at -150 and the UNDER at +110.

Eason’s total was set at 47.5 with the OVER at -165 and the UNDER at +125.

Hurts’ total was set at 57.5 with the OVER at -125 and the UNDER at -105.

Finally, Fromm gets a 60.5 total with the OVER at -155 and the UNDER at +115.
