2024 Super Bowl Futures Odds Update
The NFL season kicks off in just four short weeks, giving bettors some time to review the Super Bowl futures odds before making their preseason Super Bowl picks.
On the latest Super Bowl odds at the Bovada Sportsbook the preseason favorites are the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs at +675. As long as Patrick Mahomes is starting at quarterback the Chiefs should be among the favorites for years to come. Mahomes' supporting cast is led by tight end Travis Kelce, but he could use breakout seasons from running back Isaiah Pacheco and wide receiver Kadarius Toney to win another title.
Following the Chiefs on the Super Bowl futures are the Cincinnati Bengals at +800, the San Francisco 49ers at +850, and the Philadelphia Eagles at +885.
The Bengals’ offense should continue to put up big numbers behind Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins. However, Cincinnati suffered a scare during training camp when Burrow suffered a calf injury that will sideline him for several weeks. Burrow is expected to be ready for Week 1, but his status and early-season results should be monitored.
The 49ers also boast a stacked offense led by quarterback Brock Purdy, who’s flanked by Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle. The 49ers defense is also strong, led by reigning defensive player of the year Nick Bosa and Fred Warner. Purdy is returning from surgery on the UCL in his throwing arm and has former starter Trey Lance waiting in the wings if he can’t regain last season’s winning form.
The Eagles fell one win short of a Super Bowl title last season after posting the best record in the NFC during the regular season. Jalen Hurts is coming off a major breakout last season and appears primed to lead a strong Eagles offense that includes A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and newcomers D’Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny.
Bills next on Super Bowl odds for the season
One of the toughest divisions in the NFL this season could be the AFC East, where the Buffalo Bills are listed at +900 on the Super Bowls futures while the New York Jets sit at +1200 and the Miami Dolphins are at +1600.
The Bills were listed as Super Bowl favorites at times last season but have fallen behind the Chiefs and the Bengals in the AFC. Josh Allen still ranks among the best quarterbacks in the league, but he’ll need to find a way to get past the Chiefs and Bengals if he hopes to bring a Super Bowl to Buffalo.
The seasons of the Jets and the Dolphins both depend on the health and performance of their quarterbacks. The Jets landed Aaron Rodgers in the offseason and need the 39-year-old QB to have enough left in the tank to reignite their offense. The Jets do have a top-notch defense to rely on though.
The Dolphins need to keep Tua Tagovailoa on the field. He dealt with numerous concussions last season and Miami was 1-4 without him.
The Super Bowl odds on a few other notable teams in the preseason include the Dallas Cowboys at +1600, the Baltimore Ravens at +1800, the Jacksonville Jaguars at +2500, and the Los Angeles Chargers at +3000.
