3M Open Betting Odds Preview
Bettors won't have a star-studded field to chose from this week when the PGA Tour heads to TPC Twins Cities in Blaine, Minnesota for the 3M Open.
Last week in the Memorial Tournament Jon Rahm bested a field comprised of most of golf’s top players. Rahm shot nine-under par, which was three shots better than second-place finisher Ryan Palmer. Neither Rahm nor Palmer will be in Minnesota this week.
The betting favorite at the Bovada Sportsbook for the tournament this week is Dustin Johnson at +1100. He’ll have to be much better than he was at the Memorial if he wants to have a shot at winning this week. Last week Johnson posted one of his worst showings of the season, shooting back-to-back 80s to miss the cut. Before flaming out at the Memorial Johnson had won his previous tournament, the Travelers Championship.
Following Johnson on the odds list for this week are Brooks Koepka, Tommy Fleetwood and Tony Finau, all at +1400.
Koepka seeking improved result this week
Koepka’s disappointing season continued at the Memorial last week as he finished well back in a tie for 62nd place. Koepka has posted only one Top 10 finish all season while trying to find his game again after a knee injury.
Fleetwood hasn’t played in a PGA Tour event since March. Since the coronavirus shut down the PGA Tour he’s been holed up at home in England; he only made the trek back to the United States in early July.
Finau is coming off his best result of the season after finishing eighth last week at the Memorial.
The defending champion of the 3M Open is Matthew Wolff. He’s also the only winner of the 3M Open as it made its debut on the PGA Tour last season.
At the inaugural 3M Open Wolff shot 21-under par to beat Bryson DeChambeau and Collin Morikawa by one shot. Neither DeChambeau nor Morikawa will be in the field this week. Wolff, who tied for 22nd last week at the Memorial and finished second earlier this month in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, is a +2200 underdog to repeat at the 3M Open.
