San Francisco is a +140 underdog on Friday night against the Dodgers at online sportsbook Bovada. The Dodgers are a -160 favorite sending Mike Bolsinger to the mound against Chris Heston, who threw a no-hitter earlier this month.
The Giants swept the Dodgers and didn't allow a single run in the series back in May despite being the betting underdog in all three games.
Justin Verlander is set to make his second start of the season this Friday night when the Detroit Tigers visit the New York Yankees for the first game of a three-game series.
Verlander and the Tigers are a +110 underdog against Adam Warren and the New York Yankees at -130 at home. The Yankees are 10-5 in their last 15 games against the Tigers.
Through the first day of action at the US Open, Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson sit tied atop the leaderboard at 5-under-par. Johnson has moved up to 5/1 to win the tournament at Bovada, and is currently the co-favorite to win the event with Jordan Spieth, who sits just off the lead at 2-under-par.
Stenson is going off at 6/1, with other potential contenders including Jason Day (12/1) at 2-under-par, Patrick Reed (12/1) at 4-under-par, and Phil Mickelson (16/1) at 1-under-par.
Two MMA veterans return to the professional ranks this Friday when Kimbo Slice takes on Ken Shamrock at the Scottrade Center in Bellator 138. Slice is a -275 favorite over the 51-year-old Shamrock at +215 at Bovada.
Kimbo Slice is the bigger and stronger of the two fighters, but Shamrock is the more technically sound, making this a very interesting matchup for MMA fans.
The knockout round of the Women's World Cup begins on Saturday when Germany goes up against Sweden as a -260 favorite. Sweden is a +650 underdog to win the game in regulation time and is going off at +350 to force extra time.
