CFB Conference Championships Odds Preview
It’s conference championship week in college football, as the teams headed to the College Football Playoff should be decided.
It gets started Friday night with the Pac-12 championship between the Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans. At Bovada Sportsbook, the Trojans are 3.5-point favorites. This will essentially be a home game for USC as it’s being played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
USC has won seven straight at home with a 5-2 record against the spread. The Trojans have also been a solid UNDER play lately at 4-1 UNDER in their last five.
Oregon has lost its last two games, both as the favorite. The Ducks have paid out as an OVER lately, going 5-1-1 OVER in their last seven games.
Oregon is 5-2 straight up and against the spread in its last seven games against the Trojans. In the last seven matchups between USC and Oregon, the OVER is 6-1.
SEC Championship: Alabama has won six straight over Florida
On Saturday in the SEC championship, the Alabama Crimson Tide face the Florida Gators as a 15.5-point favorite at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Alabama has won seven straight ATS and has won five of the last eight SEC title games.
Florida was shocked by the LSU Tigers 37-34 as a 23-point favorite in its last game. The Gators faced Alabama in the SEC title game in 2009, 2015 and 2016 and lost all three games.
Alabama has won six straight against Florida with a 5-1 record ATS.
Big Ten Championship: Buckeyes seek fourth straight crown
In the Big Ten championship, the Ohio State Buckeyes face the Northwestern Wildcats as a 21-point favorite at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Ohio State has won 20 straight games against conference opponents with a 13-7 record ATS. The Buckeyes have won the last three Big Ten title games.
Northwestern is 6-1 SU and 5-1-1 ATS on the season. The Wildcats have been a strong UNDER play at 6-1 UNDER in their last seven.
In the 2018 Big Ten championship, Ohio State defeated Northwestern 45-24 as a 16.5-point favorite. In their last 14 games against the Wildcats, the Buckeyes are 13-1 SU and 9-4-1 ATS.
ACC Championship: Tigers eye revenge against Fighting Irish
In the ACC championship, the Clemson Tigers face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as a 10-point favorite at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Clemson has won the last five ACC title games. In December, the Tigers have been a solid bet at 7-0 ATS in their last seven.
Notre Dame has won 16 straight at 10-6 ATS. On the season the Fighting Irish are 10-0 SU but only 5-5 ATS.
In early November, Notre Dame defeated Clemson 47-40 as a 4.5-point underdog.
Big 12 Championship: Cyclones playing in title game for first time
Finally, in the Big 12 championship, the Oklahoma Sooners face the Iowa State Cyclones as a 5.5-point favorite at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Oklahoma has been a dominant presence in the Big 12 title game, winning four straight and eight of the last 10. The Sooners head into the week having won six straight at 5-1 ATS.
Iowa State is making its first appearance in the Big 12 title game. The Cyclones have won five straight at 4-1 ATS.
In October, the Cyclones defeated the Sooners 37-30 as a 7.5-point underdog. Iowa State has won five straight ATS against Oklahoma.
