CFB Conference Title Games Betting Preview

Conference championship weekend kicks off Friday night with the Pac-12 championship game between the Utah Utes and the Oregon Ducks at Levi’s Stadium in California.

At Bovada Sportsbook, Utah is a 7-point favorite. The Utes have won eight in a row straight up and against the spread. They’re also 8-0 SU and ATS in their last eight games against conference opponents.

Oregon was only 6-6 ATS this season, including a 2-3 ATS record in its last five. As an underdog, the Ducks are 2-5 SU and ATS in their last seven.

Last year, Utah defeated Oregon 32-25 as a 6-point favorite. In the last 10 against Oregon, Utah is 3-7 SU and 5-5 ATS.

Big Ten: Ohio State Buckeyes vs Wisconsin Badgers +16.5

In the Big Ten championship game, the Ohio State Buckeyes face the Wisconsin Badgers at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as 16.5-point favorites.

Ohio State was a perfect 12-0 SU this season and 9-3 ATS. Overall, the Buckeyes have won 18 straight at 12-6 ATS. As a double-digit favorite, they’ve won 11 in a row while going 8-3 ATS.

Wisconsin is 2-6 SU and 4-4 ATS in its last eight as an underdog. As a double-digit underdog, the Badgers are 1-8 SU and 4-5 ATS in their last nine.

In October, Ohio State defeated Wisconsin 38-7 as a 14.5-point home favorite. That was the Buckeyes’ seventh straight win against the Badgers, during which they’re 6-1 ATS.

Big 12: Baylor Bears vs Oklahoma Sooners -8

In the Big 12 championship game, the Oklahoma Sooners face the Baylor Bears at AT&T Stadium in Arlington as an 8-point favorite.

Oklahoma was only 5-7 ATS this season, and 2-6 ATS in its last eight. In 10 appearances in the Big 12 championship game, the Sooners are 9-1 SU.

Baylor has won eight straight ATS as an underdog. In November, the Bears lost to Oklahoma 34-31 as a 10.5-point underdog. They’ve lost five straight against Oklahoma overall while going 2-3 ATS.

SEC: Georgia Bulldogs vs LSU Tigers -7.5

In the SEC championship game, the LSU Tigers face the Georgia Bulldogs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as a 7.5-point favorite.

LSU was 12-0 SU and 7-3-2 ATS this season. The Tigers have been a solid bet in December with a 10-3-1 ATS record in their last 14 games in the month.

Georgia is 4-0-1 ATS in its last five games as an underdog. The Bulldogs have been a profitable UNDER play for totals bettors at 6-1 UNDER in their last seven games.

Last season LSU defeated Georgia 36-16 as a 7-point underdog. In their last seven against Georgia, the Tigers are 3-4 SU and 3-3-1 ATS.

ACC: Virginia Cavaliers vs Clemson Tigers -28.5

Finally, in the ACC championship game, the Clemson Tigers face the Virginia Cavaliers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte as a 28.5-point favorite.

The 12-0 Tigers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games. When favored by more than 20 points, the Tigers have won 20 straight at 13-7 ATS.

Virginia has won its last two games as an underdog SU and is 6-2 ATS in its last eight. In their last five games against Clemson, the Cavaliers are 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS.
