College Football Week 7 Betting Preview
There are three Top 25 matchups on tap in Week 7, starting with the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs at the No. 13 LSU Tigers.
The Bulldogs are a 7-point road favorite at Bovada Sportsbook, as they look to extend their six-game winning streak. Georgia is only 3-3 against the spread during that streak and is 8-1 straight up and 7-2 ATS in its last nine road games. LSU has won six straight at home at 4-2 ATS, but as a home underdog is 3-7 SU and 4-4-2 ATS in the last 10.
In the Pac-12 this week, the No. 7 Washington Huskies visit the No. 17 Oregon Ducks as a 3.5-point road favorite. The Huskies are a lame 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games and in their last eight road games against Oregon they’re 1-7 SU and 1-6-1 ATS. The Ducks are 1-5 ATS in their last six and they’ve dropped four straight ATS at home.
The last ranked matchup this week is the No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers at the No. 12 Michigan Wolverines as a 7.5-point underdog. Wisconsin has won 10 straight on the road at 9-1 ATS, and against Michigan is 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11. Michigan is 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in its last seven at home.
Sticking with the Big Ten, this week the Minnesota Golden Gophers visit the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan State Spartans take on the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Gophers not golden against spread vs conference foes
Ohio State is a 29.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook and against Minnesota has won 10 straight while going 6-4 ATS. Minnesota has lost its last five road games SU and ATS, and is 2-9 ATS in its last 11 conference games.
Penn State is a 13.5-point favorite but the Nittany Lions are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five vs the Spartans. Michigan State is a lousy 4-7 SU and 3-8 ATS in its last 11 road games, and 2-8 SU in the last 10 at Penn State.
The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are heavy favorites again this week, down as 27.5-point home favorites vs the Missouri Tigers. The Tide have lost their last three games ATS, and during their 22-game home winning streak they’re 10-12 ATS. The Tigers are 4-12 SU and 5-11 ATS in their last 16 road games.
Also in the SEC this week, the Auburn Tigers host the Tennessee Volunteers as a 16.5-point favorite. Auburn is only 4-4 SU and 2-6 ATS in its last eight games, but at home is 15-1 SU in the last 16. Tennessee has lost eight straight on the road at 4-4 ATS.
Finally, the Miami Hurricanes are 6-point road favorites this week against the Virginia Cavaliers. Miami is only 3-7 ATS in its last 10 but is 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in the last nine as a road favorite. Virginia is 4-1 ATS in its last five vs Miami, but 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS in the last seven as a home underdog.
