College Football Week 9 Betting Preview
Week 9 of the college football season gets started with a ranked matchup in the Pac-12 as the No. 13 Utah Utes play host to the No. 8 Oregon Ducks.
At the Bovada Sportsbook the Ducks are 7-point road favorites. Oregon is 6-1 straight up and 5-1-1 against the spread following last week’s 38-24 win over the Washington State Cougars as 19.5-point favorites. As road favorites the Ducks have been a solid wager with seven straight wins SU and a 6-1 ATS record.
Utah is 6-1 SU and 4-2-1 ATS after last week’s 34-32 win over the USC Trojans as 7.5-point underdogs. The Utes have won 18 straight games at home with a 12-6 ATS record. However, as a home underdog they’ve lost their last five games while going 1-3-1 ATS.
Last season Oregon defeated Utah 20-17 as 1-point favorites. In the last 10 games in this matchup the Ducks are 6-4 SU and 5-5 ATS.
Blue Devils visit Cardinals as small underdogs
In the ACC this weekend the No. 20 Duke Blue Devils visit the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals as 4-point underdogs.
Louisville is coming off its bye and owns a 6-1 SU record while going 3-3-1 ATS. At home they’ve won eight straight both SU and ATS and when favored they’re 9-1 SU and 6-3-1 ATS in their last 10 games.
Duke is 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS following last week’s 38-20 loss to the Florida State Seminoles as 13.5-point underdogs. Duke is 1-2 SU and ATS in its last three games. As underdogs the Blue Devils are 2-8 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games.
In this matchup Louisville has won three straight with a 2-1 ATS record.
Bulldogs favorites in a road game against Gators
And in the SEC this weekend the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs return from their bye week to visit the Florida Gators as 14.5-point road favorites.
The Bulldogs are undefeated at 7-0 SU but they’ve been a rough wager at 1-5-1 ATS. On the road the Bulldogs have won 13 straight games with an 8-5 ATS record, and they were favored in all 13 games. In its last eight games following its bye week Georgia is 7-1 SU and 4-4 ATS.
Florida is also coming off its bye week at 5-2 SU and 3-4 ATS. At home the Gators have won five straight with a 3-2 ATS record and they’re 8-1 SU and 4-5 ATS in their last nine games. As home underdogs they’ve won five straight ATS and eight of their last 10.
Last season Georgia defeated Florida 42-20 as 23-point favorites. In their last six versus the Gators the Bulldogs are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS.
