College Football Week 4 Betting Preview
Week 4 in college football is loaded with ranked matchups including a Top 10 clash between the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes and the No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
At the Bovada Sportsbook the Buckeyes are 3.5-point road favorites. Ohio State is 3-0 straight up and 1-2 against the spread this season following last week’s 63-10 win over Western Kentucky as 29.5-point favorites. On the road the Buckeyes have won five straight but they’ve been a bad wager at 1-4 ATS, and they’re 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as road favorites.
Notre Dame is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS and is coming off a 41-17 win over the Central Michigan Chippewas as 35-point favorites. The Fighting Irish have proven the oddsmakers wrong as home underdogs with a 5-1 record SU and ATS in their last six such outings.
Last season Ohio State defeated Notre Dame 21-10 as 17-point home favorites. In this matchup the Buckeyes have won four straight with a 3-1 ATS record.
Colorado heavy underdog on the road at Oregon
In the Pac-12 this weekend the No. 19 Colorado Buffaloes visit the No. 10 Oregon Ducks as 21-point underdogs.
The Buffaloes are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS after last week’s 43-35 double overtime win against the Colorado State Rams as 23-point favorites. On the road the Buffaloes are 1-9 SU and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games, and for totals bettors they’ve posted seven straight OVER results in road games.
Oregon is 3-0 SU and ATS and is coming off a 55-10 win over Hawaii as 38-point favorites. At home the Ducks are 19-1 SU and 11-9 ATS in their last 20 games, which includes going 7-1 ATS in their last eight.
Last season Oregon crushed Colorado 49-10 as 31-point road favorites. In their last 10 games versus the Buffaloes the Ducks are 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS.
Alabama the betting favorite against Mississippi
In the SEC this weekend the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide host the No. 15 Mississippi Rebels as 7-point home favorites.
Alabama is 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS this season, and last week defeated the South Florida Bulls 17-3 as 34.5-point favorites. Alabama is 6-1 SU in its last seven games, but only 2-4-1 ATS. In their last six conference matchups the Crimson Tide are 1-4-1 ATS.
Mississippi is 3-0 SU and ATS and last week defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 48-23 as 17-point favorites. As an underdog the Rebels have won three straight ATS and they’re 3-1 ATS in their last four games versus Alabama as an underdog.
Last season Alabama edged Mississippi 30-24 as 11-point road favorites. Alabama has won seven straight games against the Rebels with a 3-4 ATS record.
