Hawks Chalk vs. Warriors to Open Weekend
The Atlanta Hawks are 20-1 SU and 16-5 ATS over their last 21 games. The Hawks will host the Western Conference leading Golden State Warriors on Friday night in a potential NBA Finals preview.
Atlanta is a 1.5-point home favorite according to online sportsbook Bovada. Golden State showed just how dangerous it can be on offense against Dallas on Wednesday, erasing a 20-point first quarter deficit to go on to win the game 128-114. This one should be a great matchup between two of the NBA's best teams.
Also on Friday night, the Miami Heat visit the San Antonio Spurs in a repeat of last year's NBA title series. Of course, things are a bit different for the Heat without LeBron around, and the Spurs are the biggest favorite on the board Friday night at -10 at 5Dimes. Portland at Dallas on Saturday and Atlanta at Memphis on Sunday highlight the NBA betting card this weekend.
The Kentucky Wildcats are just 2-4 SU and ATS in their last six games against the Florida Gators including an 0-3 SU record in their last three road games against the Gators. Undefeated Kentucky will try to break that losing streak on Saturday night in Florida. Other big games between ranked teams on the NCAA card this Saturday include Louisville at Virginia, Notre Dame at Duke, Georgetown at Villanova and Baylor at West Virginia.
The Chicago Blackhawks have hit a skid of late with a 6-8 SU record over their last 14 games and a 1-3 record over their last four including two straight shutout losses. Chicago wraps up a seven-game road trip this weekend with a game in Winnipeg against the Jets on Friday and a game against the Blues in St. Louis on Sunday. The Hawks are a -160 road favorite at 5Dimes against Winnipeg as the Jets are a +140 underdog at home.
Other interesting matchups in the NHL this week include Anaheim at Washington on Friday night, Pittsburgh at Vancouver on Saturday night and Boston at Montreal on Sunday night.
